GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS - In a field of 38 school the OCU women's cross country team finished 11th overall in the DBU Old Glory Gallup over the weekend. The Stars had five runners in the top 100 out of 287 individuals competing.
Ginger Macinnis-Pierce was the top finisher for OCU for the second consecutive race as Macinnis-Pierce crushed her season-high with a finish of 18:51.8 and average mile of 6:03.9. Coming in next for the Stars was
Cailen Jolley finishing 55th overall with a time of 19:09.2. The individual winner out of full competition was Lesli Salas out of Dallas Baptist. Salas completed the race with a time of 17.22.1.
OCU Results
33 schools made up the pool of the women's side in the Old Glory Gallup as Oklahoma City notched an 11th place finish with a total time of 1:37.51. After winning the men's side, Dallas Baptist also secured the win on the women's side to give the Patriots a full day sweep. DBU had a time of 1:29.18 to beat out the second place school in Oklahoma Baptist who finished two seconds behind Dallas Baptist with a time of 1:31.43.
