OKLAHOMA CITY – A season-best outing by starting pitcher
Jacob Wright and four home runs led No. 5 ranked Oklahoma City University to an 8-1 non-conference win over Oklahoma Wesleyan on Monday night at Jim Wade Stadium.

OCU (26-3) got the fireworks started early, with three home runs in the bottom of the first inning leading to a 4-0 lead. Accounting for those homers were solo shots by center fielder
Cross Factor and third baseman
Frederic Walter and a two-run blast by designated hitter
Jesse Fonteboa.

Second baseman
Noah Barks stretched the lead to 6-1 with a two-out, two-RBI double to the base of the right field wall in the fourth inning and Walter belted his second homer of the game, and eighth of the season, in the fifth to push the lead to 7-1.

The Stars final run was scored by leftfielder
Felix Chenier-Rondeau in the seventh inning on a wild pitch.

OCU finished with seven hits with Walter leading the hits parade with three hits. Barks, Walter and Fonteboa finished with RBIs apiece.

Wright (3-0) earned the win after allowing one run on two hits with a season-high nine strikeouts and three walks in five innings pitched.

Rylan Roberson and
Isaac Horstman allowed no runs on five hits with three strikeouts and no walks in a combined four innings of relief work.
