Four Stars make USTFCCCA all-academic list

OCU takes all-academic team award

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association bestowed recognition upon Oklahoma City University for its achievements in the classroom and on the cross country course.
The Stars collected an USTFCCCA women's all-academic team award, while four OCU runners snagged individual all-academic nods.
In order to qualify for the all-academic honor, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 in addition to competing at the NAIA Championships. Tyler Berge, Sheridan Hoyer, Anna Palacios and Alexas Vargas picked up the individual honor.
As a team, Oklahoma City put together a 3.45 GPA as 39 teams had a cumulative 3.0 GPA. OCU tallied a 13th-place team finish in the NAIA Championships on Nov. 16 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
