OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's Abby Meador collected Sooner Athletic Conference softball pitcher of the week honors for the week of March 30-April 5.
The freshman form Midwest City, Okla., went 2-0 in games against Southwestern Christian, St. Gregory's, and Oklahoma Baptist. Meador pitched a four-hit shutout in OCU's 4-0 victory over No. 6 St. Gregory's, striking out 10 batters and allowing four hits. For the week, she pitched 12 scoreless innings, allowed five hits and struck out 16 batters.
Meador previously won the award for the weeks of Feb. 16-22 and March 9-15. The Stars travel to Oklahoma Wesleyan for a doubleheader starting 2 p.m. Tuesday. Follow the games live here.
