Stars' Terry named SAC player of the week

OCU is 16-0 on the season

Cheyanne Terry went 8-for-13 (.615) over the week.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Cheyanne Terry collected Sooner Athletic Conference player of the week honors for the week of March 2-8.
Terry, a senior outfielder from Little Axe, Okla., went 8-for-13 (.615) with seven runs scored, one home run, two RBIs and a .846 slugging percentage as the Stars went to 5-0 in the week. The 5th-ranked Stars topped Bethany (Kan.), Kansas Wesleyan, Midland (Neb.), Hastings (Neb.) and Saint Mary (Kan.) to improve to 16-0 on the season.
Terry joins teammates Jamie Rateliff who was named SAC player of the week on Feb. 23, and Abby Meador who received SAC pitcher of the week the same week.
The Stars host Ottawa (Kan.) in a doubleheader for their first home games of the season 2 p.m. Thursday at Ann Lacy Stadium.
