Stars’ Lopez takes SAC player of the week

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's LeeAnn Lopez was named Sooner Athletic Conference softball player of the week for April 22-28.
Lopez, a senior first baseman from Grand Prairie, Texas, batted .667 (4-6) with two home runs and five RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of No. 20 Rogers State. She slugged 1.667 and scored two runs.
Lopez is first in NAIA softball with 75 RBIs so far this season. She is first in the SAC and fourth in the NAIA in home runs with 18 and seventh in total bases with 130. Lopez is hitting .370 with a 0.788 slugging percentage, 42 runs scored and 15 doubles.
The sixth-ranked Stars (42-10, 18-4) will complete the season series with Rogers State in a 5 p.m. doubleheader Tuesday at the Diamond Sports Complex in Claremore, Okla.
