OCU downs Indiana Tech 6-0, Midland 4-0

Stars get one-hit shutouts from LaVelle, Woodward

Jamie Rateliff went 6-for-6 on the day with two RBIs.
CLERMONT, Fla. – Oklahoma City University picked up wins against Indiana Tech, 6-0, and Midland (Neb.), 4-0, Friday at the National Training Center.
The sweep moves the Stars, ranked No. 4 in NAIA softball, to a 28-2 overall record on the season.
Lily LaVelle hit her 12th home run of the year and went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Stars against Indiana Tech. Jamie Rateliff pitched in going 3-for-3 with an RBI.
LaVelle allowed one hit in seven shutout innings to pick up the win and move to 19-1 on the season.
Rateliff went 3-for-3 with an RBI to lead OCU against Midland (Neb.). Magean De La Torre finished 2-for-2 at the dish with an RBI.
Senior A.J. Woodward tossed a seven-inning shutout and allowed one hit to pick up the win and move to 6-1 on the season.
The Stars will return to action against Oklahoma Christian in a 2 p.m. doubleheader Tuesday in Oklahoma City.
