Sarah Leonard recorded the first hat trick of her career Saturday against MidAmerica Nazarene.

OKLAHOMA CITY Sarah Leonard recorded the first hat trick of her career to lead Oklahoma City past MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) 4-0 on Saturday at Stars Field.
OCU (1-1) posted a solid defensive effort and never trailed to ignite its first victory of the season.

After being held scoreless in their first game against LSU-Shreveport, the Stars got on the board early Saturday with a goal from Malin Andersson in the 12th minute for a 1-0 lead. Andersson, a junior from Huskvarna, Sweden, drilled a goal into the left side over the goalie for her first goal of the season.

Leonard's first goal came in the 42nd minute to give OCU a 2-0 lead heading into halftime. She added a goal in the 84th minute as she sprinted by two MNU players for an easy score. Leonard pulled off the hat trick with her final goal of the game in the 87th minute to finish off the scoring.

For the contest, OCU outshot MidAmerica Nazarene 12-9, including a 9-3 lead in shots on goal.
