OCU women drop regular-season finale at Southern Nazarene

Malin Andersson scored OCU's only goal on Tuesday night against Southern Nazarene.
BETHANY, Okla. – Oklahoma City University lost its final regular-season game of the season 4-1 at Southern Nazarene on Tuesday evening at Harmon Field.
OCU (9-6-1, 6-3-1 Sooner Athletic Conference) will be the No. 5 seed in this week's SAC women's soccer tournament that begins on Saturday.
After falling behind 1-0 early in the first half, the Stars tied the game at 1-1 when Malin Andersson knocked in a goal off a free kick in the 15th minute.
SNU added a goal from Jackie Acevedo in the 43rd minute for a 2-1 lead at intermission. OCU had a 10-5 shot advantage in the first half.
The Stars were unable to put across a goal in the second half as SNU added two more goals.
Randi Duncan scored for SNU in the 52nd minute to make the score 3-1. Rachel Eguren scored in the 90th minute for the final tally.
OCU owned a 16-9 advantage in shots for the game, including an 8-7 lead in shots on goal.
Andersson and Meredith Glover each had four shots to lead the team.
The Stars will travel to face the No. 4-seed in the opening round of the SAC tournament on Saturday.
