BETHANY, Okla. ? The Oklahoma City University women?s soccer team claimed its second conference victory of the season, defeating Southern Nazarene, 2-1. Whitney Ward added the winning goal with less than three minutes remaining in regulation.

SNU (3-7-1, 2-1) got on the board early after Candace Snyder claimed an unassisted goal with the game less than four minutes old.

Amanda Jones countered near the 31st minute, placing a 15-yard bullet into the right side of the goal, and the game held a 1-1 halftime tie.

OCU (6-2-3, 2-1) out shot the Storm in the second half, 11-5, and overall, 29-12. Not until the final minutes, though, did the Stars connect, as Ward drilled the victory shot, off Amanda Rivera?s assist.

OCU hosts Texas Wesleyan on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m.
