OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City placed two athletes on the College Sports Communicators' At-Large Academic All-America second team, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Tate Picklo from men's wrestling and
Carter Ray from men's golf were selected by members of the CSC after qualifying as Academic All-District selections. Nominees must have a cumulative 3.5 grade point average, hold sophomore or higher eligibility status and make a significant contribution to the success of the team.

Picklo, a business administration major, earned All-America status and was NAIA runner up at the national tournament. He was 26-1 on the season with 11 technical falls and an 11-0 record in duals.

Ray, an accounting major, earned first-team All-American honors and won the Sooner Athletic Conference championship while leading the Stars to conference and NAIA national championships.

Picklo and Ray bring OCU's Academic All-America total to six this season, joining soccer players Kayleigh Haygood and Alexis Bertrand and softball players Analise Rayburn and Tara Hoehner.
