OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City had nine players honored, including Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Freshman of the Year on the All-Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Team, the league announced Wednesday.

Analise Rayburn repeated as SAC Player of the Year and freshmen
Kaiden Spidell and
Hadley Gibson were Newcomer and Freshman of the Year, respectively.

Joining Rayburn, Spidell and Gibson as First Team All-SAC are
Brynlee Alsip,
Tara Hoehner and
Gabby Moreno.
Carlee Mollet was named to the second team,
Iliana Ashford received honorable mention and
Peyton Barrow was a Gold Glove honoree.

Rayburn led the Stars to the SAC tournament championship with a .461 batting average while driving in a team-high 93 runs this season. Rayburn also had a conference-best 24 home runs and 24 doubles for the season. She leads the NAIA in RBIs and is second in home runs.

Spidell finished the year with the 10
th-best batting average in the league as she had a .419 average at the plate. Spidell also had 46 runs batted in with 17 doubles and three home runs.

Gibson was third in the conference with a .488 batting average while driving in 44 runs and scoring 90 runs herself. Gibson completed the season with 23 doubles, four triples, and a home run.

Rayburn and Gibson made the First Team as infielders, Alsip as a pitcher Hoehner as an outfielder, Spidell as a catcher and Moreno as an at-large selection.

Alsip heads into the national tournament at 28-4 with a 1.41 earned run average. Hoehner is fifth nationally with 75 RBIs while batting a team-best .485. She has 17 home runs. Moreno is batting .436 in her first college season.

Mollet, OCU's center fielder, is batting .370 and has been a flashy and consistent presence in the outfield. Ashford has batted in the second slot all season and is batting .368 with a team-leading 10 sacrifice bunts.

Barrow, who has played right field and catcher for the Stars, has been nearly flawless in the field with four outfield assists. She is also hitting .395.
