Oklahoma City – Ayenew Devany of Oklahoma City and Ishmeal Ealoms of Nelson have been named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards Men's Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week for their efforts this past week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
 
Devany took part in the SAC Track Championships and grabbed a pair of individual victories and a top result in a relay. Devany won the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:59.97, and then he also won the 5000-meter run with a mark of 15:20.72. Devany was also part of the Stars' 4x800-meter relay that won the event with an "A" standard time of 7:35.42.
 
Other Nominees - Korey Allen, Texas Wesleyan, Tanner Bailey, College of the Ozarks, Austin White, Panhandle State, and Mitchell Williams, Langston.
 
Ealoms was a driving force in the Lions' throwing events as he scored 28 points in the meet with three trips to the podium. Ealoms opened his meet with a first-place finish in the Discus with a throw of 47.79m and then collected another first-place finish in the Hammer with a toss of 48.37m. Ealoms wrapped up his meet with a second-place finish in the Shot Put with a throw of 14.40m.
