OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City launches its appearance in the 2026 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday with some preliminary relay races.
 
The meet is hosted at Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Florida.

Previously: Oklahoma City had three runners in three events at the Arkansas Qualifier on Feb. 20. Ayenew Devany was third in the 3000 meters at 8:27.04 and Hendrick Ramirez was fourth at 8:30.10. Ramirez also was 13^th in the mile at 4:15.37. Vanessa Perez placed 22^nd in the 400 meters with a time of 57.56.
 
Expectations: The Stars are expected to score points in both the men's and women's team standings.
 
Men's Time Ranks: OCU's distance medley relay team has the No. 7 time this season at 10:00.67. Demarion Dean is ranked eighth (1:18.98) and Alexander Daly has the No. 39 time nationally at 1:20.49. Ayenew Devany has the 22^nd-best time in the 3000 at 8:27.04.
 
Women's Time Ranks: OCU's distance medley relay has the No. 8 time in the nation at 12:08.26 and its 4x800 team is ranked 13th at 9:21. Erika Pena is ranked eighth in the mile at 4:57.58. Kenzi Readnour is ranked 12^th (17:36.45) and Keira Readnour is 16^th (17:38.07) in the 5000. Isabella Gutierrez comes in with the No. 22 time in the 800 meters at 2:15.75.
 
Last Year at Nationals: The OCU men placed 18^th last season at Indoor Nationals with 13 points. The OCU women were 51^st with three points.
