OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City men's wrestling heads to the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships at Texas Wesleyan University on Saturday.
 
The tournament begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

A Dozen Stars: Oklahoma City sends 12 wrestlers to the championships: Cash Donnell (125), Vincent Citrano (133), Jace Province (141), Kaden Fetterolf (149), John Wiley (157), Jake Moon (157), Jordan Lomeli (165), Hayden Brown (165), Tate Picklo (174), Cole Olguin (184), Omari Smith (197) and Rafael Lovato (285).
 
Ratings: The final regular-season NAIA men's wrestling poll had Oklahoma City moving up one spot to fourth. The Stars ended the regular season with 10 ranked wrestlers, as John Wiley (157) and Tate Picklo (174) held their respective No. 1 rankings. Three Stars bumped up two places, with Kaden Fetterolf moving to the No. 2 spot at 149, Vincent Citrano to sixth at 133, and Hayden Brown to 21^st at 165. Jake Moon moved up one spot to ninth at 157. Jordan Lomeli remained eighth at 165 and Cole Olguin kept his No. 21 ranking at 184. Also for the Stars, Cash Donnell is 13^th at 125 and Omari Smith is 16^th at 197.
 
Previously: Oklahoma City placed both wrestlers it sent to the Missouri Valley Open on Feb. 7. Mercer Ashley was fourth at 149 and Jake Moon was sixth at 157.
 
Rematch: Wayland Baptist is the defending SAC Champion, though OCU won five of the 10 weight classes and Wayland Baptist took only one. Omari Smith is back to defend his title at 197. Hayden Brown won at 157 last season but is in the 165 class now.
