OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City took the first set against Sooner Athletic Conference favorite Nelson, but the Lions won the final three for a 3-1 NU win.
 
Grace Smallwood led the Stars with 13 kills while Erin Mack added 11 with Natalie Adams collecting 36 assists.
 
Smallwood and Ryan Leland had two aces apiece.
 
Marina Kalajdzic led the defense with three blocks up front while four Stars reached double-figures in digs. Kaylie Marshall had 19 digs, followed by Katelyn Stephenson and Smallwood with 13 each. Adams added 12.
 
Now 3-4 overall and 0-1 in the SAC, OCU hosts Texas Wesleyan at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
