HOBBS, N.M. – Oklahoma City has an eight-stroke lead after two rounds of play at the Battling in the Desert Tournament on Monday.

The Stars are 14 over par and lead Texas Wesleyan by eight strokes and third-place USAO by 27.

Logan Allen tops the leaderboard, leading the Stars at one under par after rounds of 75 and 68. She had birdies on holes four, 10, 16 and 18 in the first round and four, five, 16, 17 and 18 in the second.

Beatriz Pinheiro and
Klaudie Karnikova are tied for third at three over. Pinheiro had rounds of 73 and 74 while Karnikova went 74-73. Pinheiro birdied holes three, nine 10, and 17 in the first round and nine, 14, 15 and 16 in the second. Karnikova had birdies on eight and 18 in the first round and 10, 13, 14 and 17 in the second.
Paula Ortiz and
Taylor Tevis are tied for 14
th at 10 over par. Ortiz shot 77 both rounds while Tevis went 78-76. Ortiz had birdies on 18 in the first round and six and 10 in the second. Tevis birdied three, seven and 13 in the first round and 15, 16 and 18 in the second.
