OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City moved into first place in the Sooner Athletic Conference with its 101-69 win over Southwestern Christian on Monday.

The Stars, now 8-4 overall and 5-1 in the league, got the season sweep of the Eagles.

OCU got the first four points and never trailed in the game. A 13-0 run gave the Stars firm control early, 17-2, with 12:53 to go in the first half.
James Cloud had five points and
Jackson Hopps added four in that 13-point spree.

The hosts led by as many as 27 points in the half and went into the locker room at halftime up 51-27.

Lawrence Taylor Jr. scored with 4:07 remaining in the game for the largest OCU lead, 92-54, and
Omel Occeus hit two free throws with 57 seconds left to get the Stars into triple digits.

Hykeem Hancock had 23 points and nine rebounds off the bench to lead the Stars.
Jonas Carlisle and
Beau Tranter scored 15 points each and Hopps ended with 10.

Peyton Ackerman had six assists and
Brian Alexander added four steals.

For the night, 11 Stars scored and 13 had rebounds.

OCU hits the road on Thursday at Texas Wesleyan for an 8 p.m. contest before returning home Saturday to play Nelson at 4.
