OKLAHOMA CITY – Seventh-ranked Oklahoma City came from behind to score a 27-19 victory over Tarleton State in the home men's wrestling opener for the seventh-ranked Stars.
 
Hayden Wright got the Stars on the scoreboard with a 12-7 decision over Noah Clayton but after an OCU forfeit at 133, and a TSU major decision, the Stars trailed 10-3.
 
Kaden Fetterolf and John Wiley righted the ship with Fetterolf getting a major decision and Wiley a technical fall to bring OCU to the lead, 12-10.
 
The Texans briefly retook the lead but a forfeit win for Tate Picklo made it 18-16 for the home team.
 
Cole Olguin pinned Laird Borbon with 12 seconds left in the match at 184 and Bryce Milster clinched the victory at 197 with an 11-7 decision over Colin Vasquez.
 
"It was good to battle back and get the win. Obviously, we didn't really put our best effort out there today. And it was good to see Cole Olguin get the pin and Bryce Milster bumping up that way at 197, getting us a nice win."
 
The Stars return to the home floor Nov. 16 to take on Ouachita Baptist.
