OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City shot 51 percent from the field and rolled to an 85-63 victory at Southwestern Christian in its Sooner Athletic Conference opener on Saturday.

OCU trailed early in the first half but took control, opening the second half with 13 consecutive points for a 47-28 lead.
Jackson Hopps led four OCU scorers in that spree with four points.

The Stars' lead peaked at 26 points when
Omel Occeus hit two free throws with 9:53 to play for a 68-42 lead.

Jonas Carlisle led the Stars with 26 points, including five three-pointers in 10 attempts.
Brian Alexander added 17 points and Hopps scored 10. Alexander had four assists.

OCU had 15 steals in the game with Alexander and Hopps getting three each.
Alphonse Muteba had a team-leading eight rebounds.

The Stars return to action Thursday night, visiting USAO in Chickasha.
