WAXAHACHIE, Texas – Oklahoma City battled but fell short in three sets at Nelson in Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball on Saturday, 25-22, 25-20, 25-22.
 
Grace Smallwood led the Stars with an 11-kill, 20-dig double-double. Natalie Adams had 35 assists.
 
Three other Stars joined Smallwood in reaching double-digit digs. Kate Cleofe had 16, Kaylie Marshall had 15 and Ryan Leland added 10.
 
The match was the final road stop of the regular season and the Stars return home for a four-date home stand starting Friday against the College of the Ozarks at 6 p.m.
