OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Men's Basketball team dropped its fourth consecutive game on Saturday afternoon in the 21-point road loss to Mid-America Christian.

STAT OF THE GAME: James Cloud scored 10 of the OCU 15 points off the bench as the sophomore notched double-figures for the second time in three games while going 2-for-4 from three, his most threes made in a game since Dec. 14 in the home matchup against MACU.
FIRST HALF: Clayton Jewell opened the game with the first six of eight OCU points as a 7-0 run from the Stars capped off by a
Nick Bonifay three put Oklahoma City ahead 13-6 with 14:21 to play. The Stars offense went dry following the run going without a point for nine minutes of play allowing Mid-America Christian to go off on a 14-0 stretch to go back in front 20-13. With 1:39 left to play
Beau Tranter scored his seventh point of the half to make it a three-point game before the Evangels closed out the half with eight straight points as back-to-back threes from Tarrence Gaines sent the game into the half at 32-21.
SECOND HALF:
Yorgio Golesis opened up the second half with his only three of the evening cutting the deficit back down to single-digits at 32-24. Mid-America Christian gained back control as Gaines launched home consecutive threes once again helping work the MACU advantage all the way to a game-high 24 points with under 10 minutes to play. With 8:51 to play
James Cloud delivered his second three of the game followed by Jewell scoring five straight however another drought down the stretch halted the OCU scoring as Lawrence Taylor broke the four minute stint with the final basket of the day to close things out at 69-48.
GAME NOTES
- Oklahoma City suffers its fourth straight defeat of 17 or more points as the Stars move to 10-11 overall and 6-11 in conference play.
- Clayton Jewell led all OCU scorers with 18 points to mark his fourth straight game scoring double-digits while hauling in a team-high eight rebounds.
- Beau Tranter filled up the stat sheet once again with seven points, six rebounds and four assists. Tranters six rebounds and four assists are his second-highest total of the year in each category.
- Yorgio Goleiss saw his streak of four straight games scoring in double-figures break as the sophomore mustered up eight points on 1-of-3 shooting from three.
- Mid-America Christian earns the season-sweep over the Stars after defeating OCU back on Dec. 14 inside Abe Lemons Arena by a score of 69-58.
- Oklahoma City drops its fourth straight to MACU while trailing 21-18 in the all-time series dating back to 2005.
NEXT TIME OUT: Oklahoma City will face off against Langston to finish the three-game road trip on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 8:00 PM.
