McPherson, Kan. - The Oklahoma City Stars volleyball team collected a pair of sweeps over the weekend winning on the road against Central Christian and Langston as
Kristen Coventon picked up her 100th career win at OCU.

Set 1
After Central Christian's Zoe Smith opened the match with an ace, Oklahoma City rattled off seven straight points on three aces by
Kaitlyn Dunlap and two kills by
Ruby Kelley. OCU grew its lead to as much as 20-8 after a 7-1 run led by Kelley and
Rylee Steward who delivered one kill each while
Grace Smallwood capped off the run with an ace. The Tigers came within seven points before
Maddie Edwards concluded things with her third kill of the set winning 25-17.
Set 2
Ruby Keley continued her surge with back-to-back kills to open the second set as Oklahoma City soared out to an 11-2 lead as freshman
Bailey Lowder heated up with four kills during the run. Central made its way back to within five points but with the help of
Rylee Steward and
Erin Mack the Stars increased its advantage to 21-10.
Grace Smallwood provided the teams final kill to take their biggest lead of the set at 12 points before capturing a 25-14 win.
Set 3
Leading 4-3, Oklahoma City caught fire going on a 13-1 run on two kills by
Grace Smallwood while
Jaiden Downey and
Gabrielle Fjeseth got in the mix as well to take a 17-4 lead. With the Stars in front 20-10, Oklahoma City went on to close out the contest with five consecutive points on three straight kills by
Ruby Kelley before
Riley Winkler served up an ace as Oklahoma City finished the match with a 15 point win in set three.

- With the win, Kristen Coventon earns win number 99 for her career in six seasons at OCU.
- Oklahoma City held the advantage in the major statistical categories highlighted by serving a season-high nine aces to the Tigers four.
- The Stars held a 38-27 kill advantage while marking a season-best .466 attack percentage.
- Ruby Kelley notched double-digit kills for the fifth time in six games with game-high 13 while collecting two blocks and a season-high three aces.
