FORT WORTH, Texas – Oklahoma City University fell to Texas Wesleyan 9-7 and 15-5 on Saturday afternoon at Sycamore Park.
The Stars'
Trent Kiraly hit his third home run of the series in the third inning in the early game. Oklahoma City went to 15-15, 7-5 in Sooner Athletic Conference baseball.
In the first game, Kiraly popped a home run in the third to slice OCU's deficit to 4-3.
Reese Ratchford crushed a two-run blast in the fourth inning to give OCU the lead again 5-4.
Texas Wesleyan took the lead back again in the fourth, but it would not last long as OCU tied the game 7-7 in the fifth. With the bases loaded, Ratchford nailed a two-run single to left. Hayden Hutchins put the Rams ahead with a sacrifice fly in the fifth.
Tyler Polk got the start for OCU.
Isaac Horstman pitched in relief in the fourth and took the loss. Ratchford went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, and Daniel scored twice.
In the second game,
Hunter Lenochan put the Stars on the scoreboard with a fourth-inning solo shot over the left-field fence in the fourth inning. In the fifth, OCU plated two runs as Lenochan drove home a run with a single to center. Kiraly came through with a two-run double later in the fifth.
The Stars' final run came as
Jesse Fonteboa drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh.
Andrew Limbaugh got the loss.

OCU will play at Sterling (Kan.) at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sterling, Kan.
