ABOUT THE STARS
• Texas Wesleyan went wire-to-wire for the 89-81 win over the Stars on Thursday night in Fort Worth, Texas. OCU (9-9, 7-5 SAC) was coming off a three-game winning streak prior to the loss

Brandon Jackson, a junior human performance major from Westmont, Calif., led with 21 points and eight rebounds. Jackson is averaging 14.9 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game.

Dravon Clayborn tied his season high with 19 points hitting all seven free throws. Clayborn, a senior business administration major from Evanston, Ill., has had seven straight double digit scoring games. He is averaging 11.7 points per game.
• The Stars average 15.5 made free throws a game and 28.8 defensive rebounds a game which are both good enough for 26th in the NAIA.
• The Stars took the seventh spot in the preseason Sooner Athletic Conference coach's poll. Oklahoma City has seized 20 SAC regular-season championships and 12 SAC Tournament titles. Oklahoma City owns 26 appearances in the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament with nine national championships won in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017 with four national runner-up finishes (2003, 2004, 2005, 2019)
ABOUT THE DROVERS
• The Drovers are coming off three straight losses. They fell 90-63 to John Brown University on Thursday
• Langston Gaither and the Drovers (11-8, 8-5 SAC) couldn't get the job done. Gaither led with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists. Two other Drovers had double digit points.
• Gaither has only had two single digit scoring games as he averages 15.1 points per game this season
• Science and Arts is one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the country as they have the most 3-point attempts per game and second most 3's made per game in the NAIA with an 11.3 average
MEET THE COACHES
Mark Berokoff (second season with OCU, 26-23)

Mark Berokoff directed Oklahoma City to a 17-14 record in his first season as the Stars' head coach. The Stars collected the No. 3 seed in the SAC Tournament and earned their most conference wins since 2009-10 with a 15-7 mark
• Berokoff directed Randall to three national championships and a national runner-up showing in nine years as head coach of the Saints. Berokoff led Randall to a 147-122 mark. Randall annually squared off with SAC teams and knocked off OCU twice in that span
• Berokoff produced five national player of the year honorees, 16 all-Americans, three national tournament outstanding player award winners and one scholar all-American with Randall. Berkoff became two-time national coach of the year
• Berokoff's coaching career spans the high school, college and professional levels. His combined head-coaching record over 20 years in the college and prep ranks was 389-213 entering the 2022-23 season
Chris Francis (eighth season at Science & Arts, 148-82)
• Chris Francis has led the Drovers to five NAIA National Championship tournament appearances and two Sooner Athletic Conference tournament titles (2017, 2021). He became the 2022 SAC coach of the year
• Francis directed Science & Arts to a quarterfinal's appearance at 2018-19 NAIA Tournament, the deepest run for the school since winning the 2001-02 national title
• He has coached one SAC player of the year, two SAC newcomer of the year award winners, two SAC Tournament most valuable players
• He is a graduate of Rogers State where he held the record for games played, steals, and minutes played
