OKLAHOMA CITY – It was a night of hard hitting and outstanding pitching for Oklahoma City University on Friday night at Jim Wade Stadium. The combination led the No. 20 ranked Stars to a 12-1 win over No. 22 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene.

The first three MNU (5-3) batters reached base in the top of the first, with one run scoring. The Pioneers would manage no runs and only four hits the rest of the evening against junior starter

OCU (7-1) got all of the offense it would need on a pair of two-run home runs in the bottom of the first inning , the first by senior
Cross Factor and the second by senior
Peyton Crispin.

Jesse Fonteboa increased the Stars' lead to 6-1 with a two-run shot over the left center field fence in the bottom of the third inning.

OCU took a 7-1 lead into the bottom of the eight inning before scoring five runs to end the game early by the 10-run rule. Senior
Evan Maun ended the game with a 3-run shot over the fence a little left of dead center field. It was the Stars' fourth home run and sixth extra base hit of the game.

Davis (3-0) earned the win in dominating fashion, allowing the one run on six hits with 13 strikeouts and one walk in six innings of work. Roberson allowed no runs on one hit with three strikeouts and two walks in two innings in relief.

No MNU runner reached third base after the first inning.
