THE MATCHUP
  • Oklahoma City looks to get into the win column with their first home game of the season against Ozark Christian College (Mo.) on Monday at 5 p.m.
  • OCU is 1-0 all-time against Ozark Christian. Their last game in 2010 resulted in an OCU win, 101-59
  • OCU is 0-3, while Ozark Christian is 1-2.
ABOUT THE STARS
  • The Stars first three games of the season did not result in wins, but the team has held leads in each game, including the exhibition against Oklahoma, a 10-point cushion against Ottawa and a four-point lead against No. 1 ranked Arizona Christian University.
  • They were downed by No. 1 ranked team in the NAIA, Arizona Christian in the second half after an offensive outburst. ACU lost in the NAIA tournament finals to Loyola last season.
  • Leading scorers for the Stars this season are freshman Avery Jackson and senior Kori Guest. Avery Jackson has 58 points on the young season to go with 18 rebounds.  
ABOUT THE AMBASSADORS
  • Top scorers for the Ambassadors are Josiah Beckenhauer with 16 points and six boards, and Tyler Alarid who had 12 points in the first game of the season.
  • Alarid led OCC last year in scoring with 17.78 ppg and 186 assists.
MEET THE COACHES
  • Chris Lahm is in his 35th year of coaching, and with Ozark Christian for 15 years.
  • Lahm has won over 600 games.
  • Named regional coach of the year three times and national coach of the year once in 1998.
Mark Berokoff
  • Mark Berokoff directed Oklahoma City to a 17-14 record in his first season as the Stars' coach.
  • He was a two-time national coach of the year at Randall University, winning three national championships and one runner-up finish in nine years with the Saints. His record was 147-122.
  • Berokoff produced five national player of the year award winners, 16 all-Americans, three national tournament outstanding player award winners and one scholar all-American with Randall.
