OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University took a 25-20, 25-22, 25-14 setback to Panhandle State on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
The Stars completed the regular season 13-14, 11-9 in Sooner Athletic Conference play. Oklahoma City picked up the sixth seed in the upcoming SAC volleyball tournament and face John Brown (Ark.) on Tuesday in the SAC Tournament quarterfinals in Siloam Springs, Ark.
Kaitlyn Dunlap, a sophomore from Wichita Falls, Texas, provided OCU with 14 digs, while Cassidy DeShong, a sophomore from Amarillo, Texas, picked up 11 assists and seven digs.
Emma Vance, a junior from Norman, Okla., contributed 10 assists and four digs, and Ruby Kelley, a sophomore from Mustang, Okla., added seven kills and seven digs.
In the second set, Rylee Steward pounded a kill to tie the score 18-18. Bryanna Rosario supplied Panhandle State with a pair of kills to give the visitors the lead.
