LANGSTON, Okla. – Oklahoma City University posted its third win in four games with an 84-77 Sooner Athletic Conference win over the Langston on Saturday afternoon at LU's C.F. Gayles Field House.

With the win, OCU remains tied for third place in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings with Texas Wesleyan with a 9-4 conference record.

OCU (10-10, 9-4 SAC) led 46-34 at halftime and 61-44 at the 13:24 mark of the second half. Langston (1-18, 0-14) chipped away at that lead, cutting the deficit to 78-77 on a jumper by Naythan Shaw-Clark at the 1:07 mark of the second half.

Answering for the Stars on the next possession was senior guard
Rashaun Coleman, who was fouled after driving the lane and connecting on a short-range shot. The subsequent free throw pushed OCU to an 81-77 lead at the :38 mark.

Langston missed a 3-pointer on its next possession and senior forward
Elie Ghomsi was fouled after grabbing the rebound for the Stars. He then made one of two free throws to push the lead to 82-77. After a Langston turnover on its next possession junior forward
Kori Guest capped off the win with a dunk with 16 seconds remaining in regulation.

Guest led the way with a team-high 20 points. Senior forward
Romario Spence contributed 17 points and a team-high 14 rebounds and Coleman finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

OCU finished with a 47-37 rebounding edge in the win. The Stars also shot well from the free throw line, making 13 of 17 attempts.

OCU returns to action on Tuesday with a road game at John Brown (Ark.). Tip-off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
