OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University announced the addition of
Annilia Dawn, who has transferred from Butler.
Dawn, a rising senior from Amarillo, Texas, started four games for Butler's women's basketball team last season. Dawn had been a junior-college standout for Kilgore (Texas) prior to coming to Butler.
As a sophomore, Dawn provided Kilgore with 12.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. She led Kilgore to the NJCAA Region XIV Tournament championship game.
Oklahoma City opens the 2021-22 season 6 p.m. Oct. 29 against Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) at Abe Lemons Arena. Last season, the Stars had an unbeaten record during the regular season for the first time since 2002-03. OCU kept foes to a 34.3 percent field-goal percentage, which ranked eighth in the NAIA.
Oklahoma City has reeled in nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017.
