OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University has inked Rachel Barry, who led Hydro-Eakly to two Oklahoma state championships during her prep basketball days.

Barry collected all-state honors from the Oklahoma Coaches Association, the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association and The Oklahoman.

As a senior, Barry registered 11.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 4.00 steals a game. Barry ended her career with 1,000 points. Hydro-Eakly triumphed 69-48 over Vanoss for its second Class A state crown in a row March 6 in Oklahoma City. Hydro-Eakly reached the state title game for the third consecutive year.

Barry also picked up Oklahoma Girls Basketball Association academic all-state honors.

In 2020-21, OCU went undefeated during the regular season for the first time since 2002-03. The Stars finished among the top 10 in opponents' field-goal percentage in the NAIA.

Oklahoma City has captured nine national titles in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017.
