OCU stomps Central Christian

Stars stays undefeated in SAC play

McPHERSON, Kan. – Oklahoma City University rolled past Central Christian (Kan.) 25-13, 25-23, 25-13 on Tuesday at the Dr. Jerry Alexander Arena.
Kenady Bertling, a junior from Baytown, Texas, powered the OCU effort with 12 kills and five blocks. The Stars, ranked 16th in NAIA volleyball, moved to 5-1, 5-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference on the season.
Sophia Salak, a junior from McKInney, Texas, accumulated 33 assists, three aces and two blocks, while Isabel Harwell, a junior from Edmond, Okla., contributed 15 digs and two aces for OCU.
Catelyn Vargas, a sophomore from Lubbock, Texas, added seven kills and four digs, and Ella Lofton, a senior from Cedar Park, Texas, stuffed the stat sheet with six kills, nine digs and two blocks for the Stars.
The Stars take on Langston at 7 p.m. Thursday inside Abe Lemons Arena.
