OCU drops three-set decision to McPherson

Stars absorbs first three-set loss since Dec. 5, 2019

McPHERSON, Kan. – Oklahoma City University suffered a 27-25, 25-17, 25-21 setback to McPherson (Kan.) on Friday at the McPherson Sport Center.
The Stars, ranked 15th in NAIA volleyball, went to 8-2 in 2020-21. McPherson dealt OCU its first loss to an NAIA team this season.
Sophia Salak, a junior from McKinney, Texas, dished out 32 assists and picked up seven digs, while Isabel Harwell, a junior from Edmond, Okla., made 14 digs for OCU.
Caitlin Briggs, a junior from Mustang, Okla., provided the Stars with nine digs, and Ella Lofton, a senior from Cedar Park, Texas, turned in seven kills and 11 digs. Kenady Bertling, a junior from Baytown, Texas, compiled seven kills and two blocks.
Oklahoma City faces Panhandle State at 7 p.m. April 2 in Goodwell, Okla.
