• OCU routed Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) 85-59 on Saturday in Waxahachie, Texas. The Stars (8-1, 3-1 SAC) remained undefeated in away games this season (5-0)

Abby Selzer, a 6-foot-2 senior from Thomas, Okla., topped Oklahoma City with 15 points and eight rebounds, marking the first time this season Selzer did not have a double-double. She shot 7 of 9 from the field. Selzer turns in 19.6 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.33 blocks a contest with a 68 percent field-goal percentage this season. She ranks third in the NAIA in shooting percentage and eighth in rebounding in 2021-22. Selzer owns 1,457 points and 629 rebounds in her career

Paige Pendley, a 5-9 junior from Elgin, Okla., collected 14 points and four rebounds at the Sheaffer Center. She sank 5 of her 7 shots from the floor. Pendley posts 8.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game this season. She has reached double digits in scoring three games in a row
• The Stars rank fourth in defensive rebounds per game (33.7) and fifth in free throws made a game (19.0) this season
• OCU has captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017 and finished as national runner-up four times (2003, 2004, 2005 and 2019)
• The Stars took third in the preseason SAC poll. Oklahoma City owns 20 SAC regular-season titles and 12 SAC Tournament championships. Since 2007-08, OCU has gone 245-24 (.911 winning percentage) in conference play
• OCU leads the overall series vs. John Brown 54-5. The Stars fended off John Brown 61-59 on Feb. 20 in Siloam Springs, Ark., in the most recent encounter.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
• John Brown fell to North Texas Dallas 64-63 on Saturday in Dallas. Mykayla Dumas knocked down the decisive free throw with three seconds to go to down the Golden Eagles (5-6, 2-2 SAC)
• Natalie Smith, a 5-8 sophomore, had 20 points while shooting 5-for-8 from 3-point range. Smith averages 14.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game with a 47.7 percent 3-point shooting clip this season
• John Brown has connected on 35.3 percent of its shots from beyond the arc to rank 27th nationally
• SAC coaches put John Brown seventh in the preseason conference poll
MEET THE COACHES
Brett Tahah (13-2, second season with OCU)
• Tahah is the first former OCU student-athlete to serve as head coach of the program
• As a player from 2002-10 she helped lead the team to a 63-10 record, two conference championships and two NAIA Fab Four appearances
• Tahah compiled a 117-50 head-coaching record with two state tournament semifinal berths in six years at Oklahoma high schools Frontier, Elgin, Hobart and Lookeba-Sickles
Jeff Soderquist (363-378, 25th season with John Brown)
• Soderquist is the winningest coach in program history, and has guided the Golden Eagles to five trips to the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament including a trip to the Fab Four in 2014
• In 2013-14, the women's basketball program pieced together 28 total victories and 15 wins in Sooner Athletic Conference play, both program records
• In 2011, Soderquist was named the SAC Coach of Character
