• Spence, a 6-foot-7 senior from Luton, England, racked up 19 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots Wednesday. Spence knocked down 7 of 12 field-goal attempts and 5 of 7 free-throw tries. Spence supplies Oklahoma City with 11.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.18 blocks per game while shooting 57.3 percent from the floor this season

Rashaun Coleman, a 6-foot senior from Houston, tallied 19 points and 11 rebounds against John Brown. Coleman nailed 3 of 5 3-point shots. Coleman has produced 15.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.27 steals a game this season
• OCU has limited foes to 24.0 percent shooting from beyond the 3-point line to rank third among the NAIA this season
• The Stars took the eighth spot in the preseason SAC coaches poll. OCU owns 13 SAC regular-season championships and 10 SAC Tournament titles. Oklahoma City has advanced to the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament 25 times all-time and has won six national championships in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2007 and 2008

• Paul Quinn demolished Arlington Baptist (Texas) 102-76 on Tuesday in Arlington, Texas. The Tigers (5-0) downed a season-best 65.6 percent from the field and reached 100 points for the third time this season
• Trevoin Shaw, a 6-7 junior, had 34 points and three steals while hitting 15 of 17 shots from the field. He is averaging 17.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game with a 69.1 percent field-goal percentage this season
• Paul Quinn has shot 52.6 percent from the field to rank fifth nationally in 2021-22
• Red River Athletic Conference coaches anticipated Paul Quinn would finish 12th in the 12-team league in the preseason conference poll

Mark Berokoff (first season with OCU)

Mark Berokoff guided Randall to three national championships and a national runner-up finish in nine years as head coach of the Saints. Berokoff's record with Randall was 147-122. Randall regularly challenged SAC squads and defeated OCU twice during that time
• Berokoff coached five national player of the year honorees, 16 all-Americans, three national tournament outstanding player award winners and one scholar all-American with Randall. Berkoff was two-time national coach of the year
• Berokoff's coaching career includes experience on the high school, college and professional levels. His combined head-coaching record over 19 years in the college and prep ranks is 372-199
Brandon Espinosa (12-25, third season with Paul Quinn)
• Espinosa has the Tigers off to their best start since opening the 2012-13 season 6-0
• Espinosa has coached on the college level at Bossier Parish (La.) and Ranger (Texas). At Ranger, Espinosa contributed to Ranger's first NJCAA Tournament semifinals appearance in program history alongside head coach Billy Gillispie in 2015-16
• From 2013-15, Espinosa served as assistant coach to former Oklahoma player Eduardo Najera on the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks' NBA G-League affiliate
