Stars add 2019-20 induction class for Chi Alpha Sigma

15 OCU student-athletes join student-athlete honor society ranks

OKLAHOMA CITY – Fifteen Oklahoma City University student-athletes comprise those Stars gaining induction into Chi Alpha Sigma for 2019-20.
Chi Alpha Sigma is a nonprofit organization established to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition.
The national scholar-athlete honor society was founded in 1996 by then-DePauw University head football coach Nick Mourouzis. His goal was to provide outstanding student-athletes with an opportunity to become connected within a fraternal association that aligns their educational and athletic successes for a lifetime.
Oklahoma City has inducted a class of student-athletes into Chi Alpha Sigma annually since 2008-09. The Stars achieve both in the classroom and in competition. OCU owns three Directors' Cup titles and 69 national championships. The Stars won the 2019 NAIA men's cross country championship to continue a tradition of winning at least one national title each year since 1993-94.
