THE MATCHUP

• Top-ranked Oklahoma City University takes to the road to meet Sooner Athletic Conference foe Texas Wesleyan
• OCU have an eight-game winning streak in away games dating back to last season
 
ABOUT THE STARS
• Oklahoma City stifled Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) 82-54 on Thursday at Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars (21-0, 13-0 SAC) held an opponent below 30 percent shooting from the field for the ninth time this season (26.3 percent)
• Mallory Lockhart, a sophomore from Keller, Texas, spearheaded OCU with 18 points while shooting 4-for-6 from 3-point range. Lockhart supplies the Stars with 16.1 points per game with 43 percent shooting from beyond the arc
• Brennyn Seagler, a 5-11 senior from Gruver, Texas, put together her fourth double-double this season with 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals. Seagler notches 10.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.44 steals a contest

• Oklahoma City assumed the No. 1 spot in the latest national rankings as the last remaining undefeated team in NAIA Division I. The Stars took all nine No. 1 votes for the program's 51st instance atop the rankings and 258th consecutive national poll appearance overall to continue the NAIA's longest streak of top-25 showings dating back to 1997-98. The Stars reached the NAIA Tournament for the 22nd consecutive year and for the 25th time overall last season. OCU has captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017
• OCU was chosen tied for first in the SAC preseason coaches' poll. The Stars took their 19th SAC regular-season championship last season. OCU has won or shared nine of the last 10 league titles, going 233-22 (.914 winning percentage) within SAC play since 2007-08
• The Stars have won all 17 meetings against Texas Wesleyan over the years
• Oklahoma City rolled to an 83-66 victory Jan. 9 inside Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars built an early 19-2 advantage. Abby Selzer recorded 22 points, five rebounds and three steals
 
ABOUT THE LADY RAMS
• Texas Wesleyan succumbed to Southwestern Christian 80-71 on Thursday in Bethany, Okla. Texas Wesleyan (13-7, 8-5 SAC) tied the game 44-44 with 3:40 left in the third quarter on Nicole Gleason's 3-pointer, but Southwestern Christian responded with an 8-0 onslaught
• Gleason, a 5-11 senior, had 22 points and three blocked shots. Gleason nailed 5 of 11 3-point attempts. She averages 14.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.65 steals per game
• The Lady Rams rank 25th nationally with a 0.96-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio
• Texas Wesleyan was picked to finish seventh in the 11-team SAC by the league coaches before the season
 
MEET THE COACHES
Bo Overton (136-22, fifth season with OCU)
• Led Stars to a 33-5 season with a trip to the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament title game in 2018-19
• Overton has coached four all-Americans while at OCU, including Daniela Wallen, the 2017 NAIA Division I player of the year, and Daniela Galindo, the 2018 WBCA NAIA player of the year
• Overton served as an assistant coach for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Olympic games
• From 1998-2004, Overton served as an assistant for Oklahoma. The Sooners made five NCAA Tournament appearances during that time, with a 2002 NCAA runner-up finish and Final Four berth. He also earned three Big 12 regular-season titles and two conference tournament championships throughout his six years
• Overton collected his 150th career win coaching women's college basketball 85-70 over Southwestern Assemblies of God on Jan. 11 in Waxahachie, Texas. He has a 158-69 mark (.696 winning percentage) in seven years as a head women's basketball coach
 
Steve Trachier (36-42, third season with Texas Wesleyan)
• Led Texas Wesleyan back into the postseason in 2018-19, earning a seven seed in the SAC Tournament with a 12-10 conference mark
• Currently also serves as Texas Wesleyan's Associate Athletic Director for Athletics Equity and Compliance after Serving as TXWU's Athletic Director from 2011-18
• While serving as the Rams' AD, Trachier oversaw the Rams move into the Sooner Athletic Conference (2013-14), as well as the re-instatement of the Texas Wesleyan football program in 2017 after a 75-year hiatus
