THE MATCHUP

• Oklahoma City University hits the road for Fort Worth, Texas to do battle with the No. 20 Texas Wesleyan Rams
• The game will be the sixth matchup with an NAIA top-25 opponent for the Stars this year. Their last win over a ranked foe came on Mar. 21, 2019 against then-No. 6 Stillman (Ala.), 101-84
• OCU took then 22nd-ranked Texas Wesleyan to the brink on Jan. 9 at Abe Lemons Arena before the Rams hung on for the 83-80 win

ABOUT THE STARS
• OCU carried a 41-38 lead into the half in their game against NAIA No. 15 Southwestern Assemblies of God Lions, but the Lions poured in 64 points after the half to take the 102-90 victory
• Freshman Eddie Smith, a guard from Birmingham, Ala., led the Stars with 18 points in only 18 minutes of action. He was 7-for-9 from the floor, and 4-for-5 from 3-point range, and he dished out four assists
• Rashaun Coleman, a 6-foot junior from Houston, and Anthony Davis, a 6-foot-7 senior from Lewisville, Texas, added 17 points apiece, Coleman notched six assists, and Davis reeled in nine rebounds in the game. A.J. Cockrell recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards, and Trae Bryant added a dozen tallies
• Oklahoma City has allowed the 10th-lowest opposing 3-point field-goal percentage in NAIA Division I at 30.8 percent this season. Compare OCU with the rest of the NAIA statistically this season here
• The Stars have been slotted to take fifth place in the SAC according to the preseason coaches poll. OCU owns 13 SAC regular-season championships and 10 SAC Tournament titles. Oklahoma City reached the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament for the 25th time last season and has won six national championships in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2007 and 2008
• OCU holds the all-time series lead, 15-14. The Stars have won six of the last 10 meetings in the series, and the Texas Wesleyan win in January snapped a three game OCU winning streak

ABOUT THE RAMS
• Texas Wesleyan is also on the rebound after taking an upset loss at Southwestern Christian on Thursday night, 100-89.
• Peyton Sallee led the Rams with 26 points in the loss, and Akeem White added 18 markers. The Rams, though, struggled defensively, allowing the Eagles to shoot the ball at a nearly-57 percent clip in the game
• The Rams rank ninth in NAIA Division I in scoring offense per game (89.8 ppg) and Sam Lorenzen connects from long distance an average of 3.045 times per game which ranks 11th in the NAIA
