The Stars defeated Randall twice last season

THE MATCHUP
• Oklahoma City University returns to action after a 1-1 effort at the Texas Wesleyan Champions Classic in Fort Worth, Texas this last weekend. The Stars will compete in an away contest versus Randall
• OCU looks to continue their hot 5-1 start in their final game before conference play begins next Thursday
 
ABOUT THE STARS
• Oklahoma City cruised to an 88-75 victory over Bethel (Kan.) in its second contest of the Texas Wesleyan Champions Classic on Saturday afternoon. OCU (5-1) shot 33-of-56 (58.9 percent) from the field and 13-of-25 (52.0 percent) from 3-point territory while forcing Bethel (5-1) into 17 turnovers
Anthony Davis, a 6-foot-7 senior from Lewisville, Texas, led OCU with 18 points, three rebounds and two assists. Davis finished 8-of-13 from the floor, including a pair of 3-point makes. In 2019-20, Davis averages 10.8 points along with 3.3 rebounds per contest
Rashaun Coleman, a 6-0 junior from Houston, notched his fifth double-figure scoring output of the season, finishing with 16 points. Coleman supplies OCU with 12.2 points (second on the team), 3.5 rebounds and a team-high 4.2 assists per game this season
• The Stars rank 12th in NAIA Division I in 3-point field goal percentage (41.8 percent)
• OCU received votes in the preseason ratings. Oklahoma City reached the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament for the 25th time last season and has won six national championships in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2007 and 2008
• The Stars have been slotted to take fifth place in the Sooner Athletic Conference according to the preseason coaches poll. OCU owns 13 SAC regular-season championships and 10 SAC Tournament titles
• Oklahoma City leads the all-time series against Randall, 6-1. The Stars handed Randall a 95-89 defeat on Nov. 20, 2018 in Moore, Okla.
 
ABOUT THE SAINTS
• Randall, a three-time NCCAA Division II national champion, is coming off a 71-53 home loss versus Mid-America Christian on Saturday. The Saints shot 27.1 percent from the field and got outscored 38-18 in the paint. Randall currently sits at 1-2 on the season
• Brent Clark, a 6-2 sophomore from Dallas, led the Saints with 13 points while accumulating five rebounds, three assists and two blocks in Saturday's loss. Clark is averaging 11.7 points per game this season
• Jordan Marshall, a 6-7 sophomore from Frisco, Texas, leads Randall in scoring with 13.0 points per contest. Marshall put up 20 points in the Saints' win over Park-Gilbert on Nov. 1
• Randall is holding opponents to 40.8 percent shooting and 28.8 percent from beyond the arc this season
 
MEET THE COACHES
Stan Holt (5-1, first season with OCU)
• Holt arrived to OCU after directing fellow SAC school Langston to national prominence, putting together four consecutive 20-win seasons in his five seasons with the Lions. During his time there, Holt also won a conference tournament title in 2016 and reached the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament quarterfinals in 2017
• Langston produced five all-Americans and 18 all-conference performers under Holt
• Prior to his days at Langston, Holt spent time on the coaching staff at the University of Southern California. The Trojans appeared in back-to-back NCAA Tournaments during his tenure
• Holt's head-coaching record stands at 112-51 in his sixth year
 
Mark Berokoff (123-97, eighth season with Randall)
• Berokoff led the Saints to three consecutive NCCAA Division II national championships from 2016-18
• He came to Randall after one year as the director of basketball operations for the Texas State men's basketball team
• Berokoff has also served as an administrative assistant at Louisiana Tech. While there, he was part of one of the best seasons in the school's history with a record of 24-11 and a berth in the College Insider Tournament quarterfinals
