Oklahoma City clinched a share of the Sooner Athletic Conference regular-season championship with the win. The Stars, ranked 22nd in NAIA volleyball, moved their record to 27-1, 17-0 in the SAC.
OCU has taken the last four SAC regular-season titles. The Stars split the 2017 and 2018 SAC regular-season crowns with Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas).
The Stars extended their winning streak to 26 victories in a row. OCU finished the regular season with an unbeaten home record for the second consecutive year. OCU has a 14-0 home mark this year and a 33-match winning streak at Abe Lemons Arena. OCU won its 23rd SAC contest in a row.
