CHICKASHA, Okla. – Oklahoma City University stomped USAO 25-11, 25-12, 25-13 on Thursday night at USAO Fieldhouse.
Ella Lofton, a sophomore from Cedar Park, Texas, topped the Stars with eight kills. Oklahoma City went to 24-3, 15-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball.
OCU will look to reach 25 victories for the fifth time in the program's history when the Stars face Mid-America Christian at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gaulke Activity Center in Oklahoma City.
Hanna Nicholson, a junior from Choctaw, Okla., equaled her season high with seven kills, and Taylor Horton, a sophomore from Edmond, Okla., collected six kills, seven assists and two blocks for the Stars.
OCU's Sophia Salak, a freshman from McKinney, Texas, contributed eight assists and five digs, and Caitlin Bosarge, a sophomore from Mustang, Okla., notched seven assists and 10 digs.
Lauren Hermes, a junior from The Colony, Texas, posted a season-high five aces to go with nine digs, and Marijana Bjelobrk, a junior from Belgrade, Serbia, hammered five kills for the Stars.
