OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University rolled to a 25-9, 25-9, 25-10 win over Bacone on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
Stefani Nell, a senior from Tulsa, Okla., posted 13 kills and four digs for Oklahoma City. The Stars moved to 19-6, 14-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball.
OCU completed the regular season 9-1 at home. The Stars aim to sew up its second consecutive SAC regular-season championship when OCU visits Central Christian (Kan.) at 3 p.m. Nov. 4 in McPherson, Kan. OCU hosts the SAC Tournament on Nov. 7-11.
Caitlin Chamness, a senior from Littleton, Colo., turned in a career-high eight kills, and Sanja Vojnovic, a senior from Bajeljena, Bosnia, rang up 33 assists, four aces and three kills for the Stars.
Dani Chase, a senior from Yukon, Okla., added six kills and 10 digs, while Lindsey Grace, a senior from Edmond, Okla., chipped in four kills, 10 digs, four aces and a team-leading two blocks for OCU. The Stars' Kenzie McMullen, a senior from Edmond, Okla., recorded nine digs and two aces, and Holly Randall, a senior from Edmond, Okla., picked up four kills and a team-high two blocks.
In the third set, Grace pounded two kills and teamed with Randall on a block to help OCU build a 10-3 lead. Randall's kill gave OCU the 10-3 advantage.
