BETHANY, Okla. – Oklahoma City University rolled to a 25-19, 25-17, 25-18 victory over Southwestern Christian on Tuesday night at Pickens-Springer Gymnasium.
Marijana Bjelobrk, a sophomore from Belgrade, Serbia, supplied the Stars with a team-best 13 kills. OCU (16-5, 11-1 Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball) collected its 11th consecutive win.
Holly Randall, a senior from Edmond, Okla., knocked down 11 kills with a solo block, while Sanja Vojnovic, a senior from Bajeljena, Bosnia, amassed 39 assists, seven digs and three aces for Oklahoma City.
Dani Chase, a senior from Yukon, Okla., delivered 27 digs, and Stefani Nell, a senior from Tulsa, Okla., contributed 10 kills and seven digs for the Stars. Lindsey Grace, a senior from Edmond, Okla., added eight digs.
The Stars rang up nine points in a row to overcome a 12-10 second-set deficit. Nell nailed three kills, and Vojnovic landed three aces to fuel the OCU onslaught.
Oklahoma City meets St. Gregory's at 7 p.m. Thursday at Abe Lemons Arena.
