OCU gets back to its winning ways

SHAWNEE, Okla. - Oklahoma City got back on track with an 80-77 victory over Oklahoma Baptist at the Noble Complex on Saturday.
Tharone Chilton scored five points in the final 15 seconds to give the Stars the victory. OCU, ranked 23rd in NAIA Division I men's basketball, improved to 13-7, 9-5 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Chilton, a senior from Tulsa, Okla., led all scorers with 36 points while pulling down four rebounds and two assists. He made 11-of-20 shots from the floor and was a perfect 13-for-13 from the free-throw line.
Gary Inglett, a senior from Ardmore, Okla., was a rebound away from a double-double with 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
OBU took a seven point, 41-34 lead into halftime.
Chilton scored on a layup with 9:16 left to play to give the Stars a one-point lead. It was the first lead for OCU after the 11:09 mark in the first half. Oklahoma City did not take the lead again until Chilton converted his points in the last 15 seconds.
OCU continues conference play against St. Gregory's at 8 p.m. Thursday at Abe Lemons Arena.
