Stars complete exhibition play with loss to Midwestern State

Midwestern deals OCU 103-51 setback

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Oklahoma City University took a 103-51 setback to Midwestern State (Texas) on Sunday at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
Jordan Mason, a junior from Ennis, Texas, became the only Star in double figures scoring with 10 points and a pair of 3-pointers. OCU played its final men's basketball exhibition of the season.
Dorion Gigger, a junior from Oklahoma City, provided OCU with seven points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Mason led the Stars in gaining 27 points off the bench.
Midwestern State scored the first 10 points of the game. Bretson McNeal led five Midwestern players in double figures scoring with 22 points, hitting all six of his shots from the floor and four of his free throws. McNeal had six 3-pointers.
The Stars open the regular season 7 p.m. Nov. 24 against Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) at Abe Lemons Arena.
