Torrie Flynn, a senior from Edmond, Okla., contributed nine kills, and Meghan Irwin, a junior from Arlington, Texas, chipped in seven kills and four blocks.
The Stars nabbed their second five-set road victory of the year.
"I'm so thankful that God gives us the opportunity to play this game we all love," OCU coach Nikki Dieball said. "I'm so proud of the effort we showed. We made several adjustments and played a whole bunch of people, so it was absolutely a team win."
Irwin nailed back-to-back kills, and Gabel hammered three kills to stake OCU to a 7-2 fifth-set advantage. Watson sparked four consecutive OCU points with a kill and an ace with Macy's kill capping the run for a 13-5 Stars lead.
Flynn added a kill, then Chazmin Franklin pounded the match-winning kill.
"They had a rocking crowd, so it was a great atmosphere to play in," Dieball said. "It's really fun to go into someone's house with a hostile environment and pull out a hard-fought win. JBU had a few really good runs at us, but we kept our composure and stayed the course. We are learning how to finish strong, and I just couldn't be happier for our girls."
OCU closed the first set with four points in a row. Franklin had a kill to touch off the set-clinching run.
In the third set, the Stars erased a 21-17 deficit with a 6-0 splurge. Flynn, Watson then Macy socked kills. Macy smacked kills to provide set point, then the clinching one.
OCU continues league play at Mid-America Christian at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Gaulke Activity Center in Oklahoma City.
