OCU routs Menlo, Simon Fraser

Stars win 55th consecutive dual

ATHERTON, Calif. – Oklahoma City University posted wins over Menlo (Calif.) 47-2 and Simon Fraser (British Columbia) 33-7 on Friday at the Hayne-Prim Pavilion.
The top-ranked Stars improved to 19-0 on the season. OCU moved to 70-0-1 in its last 71 duals and increased its win streak to 55 consecutive duals.
OCU dispatched of third-ranked Simon Fraser for the second time this season. Brittany Delgado and Michaela Hutchison picked up falls for the Stars.
OCU's Kristie Davis prevailed over Jenna McLatchy in a matchup of the top two ranked individuals in the Women's College Wrestling Association at 155 pounds. Top-ranked Davis, a senior from Mustang, Okla., defeated McLatchy 6-0, 6-0. Davis put OCU ahead 27-4 in the dual with the technical fall.
Against eighth-ranked Menlo, Hutchison notched her second fall of the day. Stephanie Geltmacher, Beatrize Martinez and Audrey Morehouse also picked up pins for the Stars.
OCU competes next in the Menlo Open at 11 a.m. Central time Saturday at the Hayne-Prim Pavilion.
