THE MATCHUP: Oklahoma City University faces Sooner Athletic Conference foe Mid-America Christian.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children. OCU students and faculty are admitted free into all Stars events with their ID.
ABOUT THE STARS: The Stars fell to SAC rival Oklahoma Baptist 79-62 on Saturday at the Noble Complex in Shawnee, Okla. Breezy Martin, a 5-foot-11 junior from Oklahoma City, and Laura Duncan led the Stars posting 11 points apiece.
Duncan, a 5-8 junior from Edmond, Okla., averages 12.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.56 steals per game.
Emily Davis, a 5-11 freshman from Guthrie, Okla., added 10 points, while Atta Diabate, a senior from Mali, West Africa, chipped in 10 points and five rebounds.
Chontaye Walter, a 5-8 junior from Oklahoma City, had a team-high six rebounds and handed out three assists. Walter leads the NAIA in 3-point shooting percentage, shooting 51.3 percent from behind the arc.
Chelsea Ledbetter, a 5-8 senior from Norman, Okla., ranks 10th in assists, averaging 4.9 per game. Ledbetter averages 9.0 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
Holly Hardin ranks 10th nationally in rebounds. Hardin, a 6-foot junior from Chickasha, Okla., paces the Stars averaging 13 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
The Stars are currently ranked 13th in the NAIA Division I, and are leading the NAIA in assists, averaging 20.8 per game.
OCU, which has won eight of the last nine league titles, was picked to finish second in the conference. The Stars have gone 3-0 against Mid-America Christian in program history. The Stars beat Mid-America 89-50 on Dec. 11 at the Gaulke Activity Center in Oklahoma City.
ABOUT THE LDY EVANGELS: Mid-America Christian defeated St. Gregory's 69-61 on Saturday in Shawnee, Okla. Tiphani Eaves led the Lady Evangels with 17 points. MACU improved to 8-17, 3-14 in the SAC.
April Hale posted her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 boards.
Eaves, a 5-9 sophomore, tops Mid-America with 11.7 points a game. Karina Trindade, a 5-11 junior, adds 10.4 points and 2.46 steals a game.
ABOUT THE COACHES: Rob Edmisson has a 107-21 record in his fourth season guiding OCU, picking up his 400th career win Dec. 11. Edmisson, the 2008 SAC coach of the year, led the Stars to SAC regular-season championships two of the past three seasons. Edmisson coached the only player drafted into the WNBA from OCU, Mariam Sy. He won 192 games at Hutchinson (Kan.) and 110 as a high school coach in Kansas.
Markus Crandall is in his first season as a head coach. Crandall played for Mid-America Christian in 1993-97, scoring more than 1,000 points.
