THE MATCHUP:
Oklahoma City University plays Sooner Athletic Conference rival Wayland Baptist (Texas) in the second of their home-and-home series.

ABOUT THE STARS:
OCU overcame a challenge from Oklahoma Baptist by winning 69-66 on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars improved to 16-4, 5-4 in the SAC.
Alexandra Kotta, a 5-foot-11 senior from Germantown, Md., and Chelsea Ledbetter, a 5-8 sophomore from Norman, Okla., each had a team-leading 18 points. Kotta also had four rebounds and two steals, while Ledbetter recorded six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Kotta leads OCU with 15.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.95 steals a game. Kotta ranks 15th in the NAIA Division I in steals. OCU is seventh nationally in turnover margin (7.10).
The Stars are ranked No. 21 in the latest poll. OCU leads the overall series with Wayland Baptist 21-16. The Stars have won the last 14 meetings, including a 67-61 win on Jan. 13 in Plainview, Texas. Romana Vynuchalova had 16 points, five rebounds and two steals for the Stars.

ABOUT THE FLYING QUEENS:
Wayland Baptist lost its fourth consecutive game 57-36 to Lubbock Christian (Texas) on Saturday. Wayland Baptist sits at 11-11, 2-8.
Anastasia Okolo
, a 5-7 junior, had nine points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Edite Kresa
(uh-DEET-ay kress-UH), a 5-7 sophomore, leads Wayland with 12 points and 2.6 assists per game. Kresa ranks 11th nationally in 3-pointers made per game (2.68), while Wayland Baptist ranks 12th in points allowed per game at 58.6.
The Flying Queens were picked to finish ninth in the conference in the preseason.

ABOUT THE COACHES: Rob Edmisson
is in his second season as OCU head coach. Edmisson has a 350-126 record in 16 seasons as a head coach at OCU, Hutchinson (Kan.) and two Kansas high schools. He coached the Stars to a 32-3 record and the NAIA quarterfinals in 2005-06.
Will Flemons
is in his fourth season as Queens coach. Flemons led Wayland Baptist to the 2004 NAIA Tournament. He was the 1992 Southwest Conference player of the year with Texas Tech. Flemons has former OCU graduate assistant Stephanie Shaw as his assistant.
