Schiele sits second, Stars seventh in NAIA Championships

OCU turned in a round-three 312 and hold at seventh place

Taylor Howard carded three birdies during round-three action.
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Top-ranked Oklahoma City University shot a round-three 312 and finished seventh Thursday in the NAIA Championships at Link Hills Country Club.
The Stars, ranked No. 1 in NAIA women's golf, recorded 318-300-312- 930 through three rounds on the par-73, 6,044-yard course and sit 22 shots behind tournament leader British Columbia (Canada) and five shots behind sixth-place Oklahoma Christian with one round left to play.
Jessica Schiele, of Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, England, shot 75 in round three to move into a tie for second place with Anna Arrese Cortadellas of Oklahoma Christian. The junior carded three birdies on the day and stands one stroke off the pace set by Megan Woodland of Victoria (Canada).
Mary Larsh, a junior from Edmond, Okla., carded three birdies and turned in a 78 to finish tied for 45th.
Junior Taylor Howard, of Ada, Okla., turned in a round-three 81 to finish tied for 38th. Howard holed three birdies on the day.
Senior Madison Haley, of El Reno, Okla., chipped in with a 78 and junior Tanya Tibshraeny, of Westhaven, Kirkwood, South Africa, posted a round-three 83.
The Stars will return to action in the fourth and final round of the NAIA Championships Friday at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
